# Parameter Details

Parameters are settings you can configure. The defaults are appropriate in most cases. This section goes over the battery’s parameters in detail. The setting of parameters is covered in other sections.

***

**ardupilot.equipment.power.BatteryInfoAux\_enabled**

This controls whether the battery broadcasts the BatteryInfoAux message. *NOTE:* If sending the BatteryInfo message is disabled, then sending the this message will also be disabled. This parameter can only be enabled (1) or disabled (0). Details on this message can be found here:

max: 1

default: 1

***

**packetdigital.storage\_mode\_start\_time\_s**

This controls how many seconds without any activity until the battery discharges itself to storage voltage. (Activity is charge, discharge, the button being held down, or being connected to CAN.) Setting to 0 disables Storage Mode completely.

min: 0 (disabled)

max: 2,592,000 (30 days)

default: 604,800 (7 days)

***

**packetdigital.top\_balancing\_enabled**

This enables or disables internal top balancing. This can only be enabled (1) or disabled (0). For more information, see the section “[Cell Balancing](/b/12s-17000mah-15c-user-manual/cell-balancing.md).”

***

**uavcan.dtid-com.packetdigital.LifetimeData**

This sets the data type id of the LifetimeData message, a message unique to Badland Batteries. The default id is 20901. This parameter is here in case there is another vendor defined message on the CAN bus which has the same id. Otherwise, there is no need to change this.

max: 20,989

default: 20,901

***

**uavcan.node\_id**

This manually sets the battery’s node id, which is used over CAN. Setting to 0 enables dynamic node id allocation.

max: 127

default: 0

***

**uavcan.pubp-ardupilot.equipment.power.BatteryCells**

This controls how often in microseconds the battery broadcasts the BatteryCells message. Details on this message can be found here:

<https://github.com/dronecan/DSDL/tree/master/ardupilot/equipment/power>
