# Battery Storage

This section provides information and safety precautions for battery storage.

* Store the battery in a temperature-controlled space (between 20°C and 30°C) away from moisture and sources of heat.
* Keep the battery stored at 22.8V.
* Cycle batteries at least once per month since leaving them unused for a prolonged time can cause the packs to swell, overdischarge, or become out of balance.
* Keep the battery out of the reach of children.
* Dispose of battery only at an appropriate hazardous waste disposal site.
